I was digging around my archives pulling photos for a portfolio and stumbled across this shot I did awhile back for a publication here in Kansas City. The assignment was to shoot a feature on John McMeel, Chairman of Andrews McMeel Publishing. Normally the higher up the chain you go the less time you have to spend with the subject, not in this case. Mr. McMeel was insanely nice and extremely patient while I set up my gear and prepped for the shoot. After the shoot was completed he game me a quick spin around the building and told me about all of his grandkids and what he had planed for the weekend. I will never forget this shoot, I went in thinking that that I would have 5 minutes to capture a few images before being shoved out the door but that was certainly not the case. These are the photo shoots that stick out when you look back.

Hey Aaron, Just got caught up on your blog posts… dee snider? not to mention that photo with both of you is absolute insanity. super jealous.
I’m liking the new stuff your shooting,
the burlesque show… what a rough group of models you have to work with there… (NOT!)
did you do the graphics work for that flier also? or just that image?

Hey Chris,
Dee was a cool guy, glad I got the chance to work with him. I did not do the graphics for the burlesque stuff, they hired someone to do that. What are you shooting these days?
Aaron
Suzanne – It was a great experience meeting him!
